DORIS members are doers. Since 1999, we are working to change the film industry to become more gender equal.
According to Doris’ guidelines and the Doris Manifesto, Doris the Movie, which includes eight shorts, was produced. The film , that has won a lot of awards around the world, is also used with tutorials in educational purposes. Doris has for example trained pedagogues and educators to adopt a critical attitude towards standardized norms in film, and we give lectures and have debates in various forums, small and big, in order to spread Doris ideas.
The purpose of the Doris Film is to change attitudes and structures towards gender equality in the industry and provide a visual contribution to the public debate.
