Script contest

In order to explore narrative by women Doirs wants to produce three short films per year during three years according to the Doris Manifesto. The Doris Network plans nine short films, three a year for three years. Each year a script contest is announced.

The script selection groups

It consists of two members from the Doris Network and two neutral professional script readers who are nominated annually.

The contest winners 2004:

DANGER IN THE NIGHT
Two young girls are stranded on a deserted highway.

Danger in the night is written by Bitte Havstad, who lives on Styrsö in the South Archipelago of Gothenburg and is a professional set designer. She has done courses on scriptwriting and has written several scripts.

SUSANNE GOES SINGLE
In a camping site a woman decides leaving her husband.

Susanne Goes Single is written by Camilla Börjesson, who works as a dresser in the Opera of Gothenburg and has never before written scripts.

SHOOT ME
An old lady is hindered from dying.

Saver in Death is written by Carin Bräck, who lives in Lund and has worked as a live model, bingo-hostess, has a BA in Literature and Psychology. Carin has worked as an episode writer for Vita Lögner (White Lies) and has done Skurup’s Writing Course.
